Brew Plate™ Bulk Sleeve, HLP Tubes

These tubes are filled with semi-solid Hsu’s Lactobacillus/Pediococcus Agar (HLP) used for the detection of anaerobic (lives without oxygen) bacterial species that contaminate your brew. HLP semi-solid agar detects Lactobacillus and Pediococcus bacteria, which are the major bacterial contaminants encountered during the brewing process. A sample placed within the HLP semi-solid agar allows for anaerobic-like (microaerphilic) conditions, which is an optimal growth condition for these bacteria.
