The spout retracts into the threaded collar to conserve space, and the collar is sealed by a leakproof screw cap an extra hand grip on the bottom gives positive control when pouring. the 5 gallon jerrican has a 2.5cm (1”) I.D. pouring spout; other sizes have 1.9cm (3/4”) I.D. spouts. Graduated in U.S. gallons and liters, they have extra headspace for expansion of contents.
